The Territory Workforce Program provides support for organisations to develop industry driven workforce initiatives to maximise job opportunities for Territorians and build a skilled workforce for business and industry, now and into the future.

The program has three streams:

• Stream 1 focuses on increasing the commencement and completion of apprenticeships and traineeships, including pre-apprenticeships, higher apprenticeships and other employment related training relevant to the needs of Territory businesses and industry sectors.
• Stream 2 focuses on workforce development (excluding apprenticeships and traineeships) to increase participation in the Territory economy through workforce development initiatives (including 'like' apprenticeships) that lead to employment and support targeted upskilling of Territorians.
• Stream 3 focuses on industry workforce strategies supporting innovative industry-led projects that meet sector demands and improves the productivity of Territory businesses and industry sectors.

Aboriginal Workforce Grants - grants to support initiatives or projects that result in more Aboriginal Territorians entering employment and developing careers within the workplace. The grants help employers or businesses by providing funding for wrap-around or other support needed to maximise employment outcomes.

Aboriginal Responsive Skilling Grants - responsive to the immediate needs of Aboriginal Territorians living in urban, regional and remote communities, Aboriginal Responsive Skilling Grants give access to training that leads to job outcomes. This can include vocational education and training (VET) that cannot be funded through any other source.
