Building a skilled workforce for the Territory
The Northern Territory (NT) Government’s Workforce Skilling division demonstrates the Territory's continued commitment to fund training and skilling.
We facilitate the growth of a skilled, agile and capable workforce to meet community and economic needs of the Territory.
The division offers many grants to target training to meet current and future skilling needs of the Territory.

Our objectives:
- Enable the skilling of Territorians through training opportunities.
- Increase training and workforce participation by further engaging with under-represented groups in regional and remote areas.
- Advocate for the Territory on Commonwealth skilling and migration policies.
- Foster industry growth through strategic skills partnerships and innovative programs.
- Engage and support registered training organisations to provide a competitive and sustainable training market across the Territory.
- Attract and support the migration of interstate and overseas workers to the Territory to assist employers alleviate skills shortages.
- Engage with and support employers and industry peak associations in using migration programs.
